Convened, developed content for, and taught into diverse inter- and transdisciplinary courses across multiple universities
Tutor,Transdisciplinary School, UTS, Australia (2024 - present). Working within UTS’ Transdisciplinary School on the award-winning TD Electives and courses for the Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation. These courses provide students with an opportunity to explore and integrate knowledge and methods across multiple disciplines, fostering transdisciplinary thinking and collaboration for real-world industry problems. Courses I have taught into include: Change-making for Social Impact (Spring 2024, 2025), Design Your Future (Summer 2024-25, 2025-26) and Envisioning futures worth wanting (Autumn 25, Autumn 2026). For Change-making for Social Impact (Spring 2025), I developed original content that introduced the undergraduate students to creative reflective practice as part of the practice-based pedagogy.
Casual Academic, Indigenous Geography, University of Wollongong, Australia (2025). Tutor on an elective course that focuses on the geographic perspectives of Indigenous belonging, reconciliation politics, Indigenous land, and environmental claims and disputes. Content is framed around social and ecological change, introducing students to appropriate ethical, cultural and research skills to respond to social inequities and environmental challenges. Students named me in the course feedback saying, "I loved Lizzie as my tutor and I believe anyone in her class has a leg up because she is very passionate and knowledgeable about the subject, which makes you feel very passionate about the subjects." Also, " I would really like to thank Lizzie for being such a greater and support tutor. She made each class such a supportive space and explained things in very thoughtful and important ways that will really stick with me. It was such a pleasure to be in her class, and I have learnt so much that I will carry with me in future."
Co-convener & Guest Lecturer, Emerson College, USA (2023). Co-developed a global journey for Emerson’s Bachelor of Creative Industrie sstudents that demonstrates the role of emerging creative practices in our interconnected world. Underpinned by my cutting-edge work in creative production, and a unique academic framing, this course was a rigorous learning experience for students who wanted to critically understand their practice, and the value they bring across diverse disciplines.
